Emirates has extended its ban on flights from South Africa

Emirates has extended its ban on flights from South Africa to the United Arab Emirates until 8 April.

This was accordingto the government’s directives that restrict the entry of travelers originating from South Africa into the UAE. Although daily passenger flights to Johannesburg will continue to operate.

The airline says the rule also applies to customers who have been to or connected through South Africa in the last 14 days. They will also not be permitted on any Emirates flights bound for Dubai.

The British Airways has also placed a temporary ban to its flights between Johannesburg and Heath row Airport until 17 May.

Fights between London and Cape Town should not be expected until June.

Several countries have announced travel bans to and from South Africa.
